This delicious amla smoothie recipe with organic amalaki powder boasts the highest levels of antioxidants ever.


When I first heard an expert say that Indian gooseberries have more antioxidants than any other whole food, I was pretty stunned. I imagined blueberries, greens, or some other plant like barley grass would’ve nailed it.

But according to Dr. Michael Greger, “the number-one, most antioxidant-packed single whole food on the planet, was, on average, amla” — data he gleaned from a study measuring thousands of different foods.

He even said it has “up to a hundred times or more antioxidants by weight than blueberries,” which is nothing to sniff at when blueberries pack over 13,000 antioxidants a cup.

So it didn’t take me long to round up some pure organic amla powder online and add it to my smoothies —specifically berry smoothies with a powerhouse punch.

  • Flatware/cutlery.
