When it comes to how to make a cucumber facial mask, there are five easy steps. A go-to for swelling, puffiness, sunburns, irritations, and more.

I discovered long ago that everything I need for natural beauty and most home remedies can be found in my kitchen, or in my garden, for that matter, and that goes for inside and out.

An organic plant-based diet nourishes skin from the inside, but when we use plants topically, double-win.

According to dermatologist Amy Wechsler, cucumbers are packed with vitamin C, vitamin A, potassium, sulfate, and caffeic acid—all super awesome for skin.

They’re also immensely hydrating and soothe tons of ailments including sagging, sunburn, rashes, and more.

“Cucumbers contain flavonoids and antioxidants that decrease swelling, redness and irritation,” she says. “They also provide a cooling effect that helps shrink dilated blood vessels, therefore reducing the appearance of puffy eyes.”
