Spread the love

It’s easy to make a meal out of vegan wraps. There’s so much you can do with them. The versatility lies in not just tortillas, nori, or crisp green leaves, but what you put inside. And when it comes to that, wraps are like a suitcase. There’s so much you can pack. And they roll with every taste under the sun.

There’s nothing that makes me want to go more overboard than a wrap, and that’s because there’s so much you can do with them.

From falafel and hummus to crispy lettuce wraps, they’re the bomb.

This recipe is organic, vegan, and gluten-free.

Notes on Kitchenware

If you haven’t invested yet in high-quality non-toxic kitchenware, it’s well worth it. Properly cared for it lasts a long time and supports health.

You can also recycle glass jars and non-toxic containers from products you already buy and use them as food storage containers—which helps the environment and your wallet.

Look for conscientious packaging (BPA & phthalate free, etc.) that you can reuse.

Homemade Veggie Wraps

Vegan wraps are a go-to.

I always rock a delicious homemade dressing, dip, or sauce on wraps, such as guacamole, hummus, tahini, pesto, salsa, baba ganoush, vegan Ranch dressing.

Whatever it is, I start at the bottom and work up. Ditto for spices, nutritional yeast, and everything else onboard.

How to Wrap a Wrap

  • Wrapping a wrap can get a little tricky if you overstuff it, use too small a wrap, or don’t warm tortillas if they’re cold and stiff.
  • Form the stuffing in a horizontal line or spread it around leaving enough space around the sides to enclose it.
  • Fold in the sides about halfway so you can still see the stuffing. You can also leave the sides open if it’s a supersize.
  • From the center pull and tuck the end of the wrap over the top of the stuffing and sides, spooning the ingredients in tight as you go.
  • Keep tucking and tightening as you roll it.
  • Secure it with food toothpicks or an eco binding.

Another strategy is to create a mix using your favorite sauce and any number of ingredients such as rice, tofu, legumes, chopped veggies, nuts and seeds, fruits, sprouts and microgreens, on and on.

They’re a great meal idea, appetizer, finger food.
